Raw Clothing Design

"Yarn Sheep"; Danielle V Green Illustrations on Etsy
A clothing designer needs to know how to create under ANY conditions.  If fabric is not available a designer will make clothes out of fig leaves, wood pulp, computer parts.  Imagine you are on a deserted island and all your clothes have been lost at sea.  You need to make yourself an outfit to look nice for the news reporters when they come to rescue you.  What will you wear?  Fur aside because I am an animal lover I can´t bear fur.  Think of what you can make clothes out of.  This is actually one of the challenges you would face at design school.  Making textiles from their very base raw materials.
